Introducing a new cultural heart for New Brighton
Promoting Change
By focusing on and promoting the area’s independent credentials as a viable alternative to the seafront offer, the company’s manifesto positions the Victoria Road areas as a destination within the town, where both residents and visitors can shop, eat, and drink, as well as enjoy diverse live events and cultural happenings.
A brand been created - ‘Victoria Quarter’ to aid with place-making and to provide an identity for the area, which is now being used across all marketing and communications.
The area has been enhanced with street-level greening, damaged and old street furniture replaced and Rockpoint have installed signage which reaffirms that you are in Victoria Quarter.
The Regeneration
Unmaintained facades have been improved and properties are being developed or repurposed, with a mix of uses, including bars and restaurants, as well as retail outlets.
Permanent space will be provided for incubator businesses, and the Quarter will attract existing independents and ambitious start-ups.
Recruitment is being sourced from the local community, and Rockpoint will ensure the support of existing businesses to create a strong commercial network.
As part of the scheme, Rockpoint will be introducing the Victoria Quarter standard - a customer service initiative that will be offered to all businesses within the quarter to benchmark and consistently deliver a quality visitor experience.
